A highly-experienced trusts and estate lawyer and tax advisor, John's principal responsibility is to assist major donors in developing tax-effective and family-friendly means of providing major philanthropic support to the University. Before coming to CWRU, John was a partner in the Taxation practice area of Squire Sanders, and chaired that firm's Trusts and Estates practice. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trusts and Estates Counsel and has repeatedly been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America and Ohio SuperLawyers publications.

Chuck partners with colleagues, donors, families, and professional advisors to find creative ways to support the University. He began his career as an Ohio Assistant Attorney General, Charitable Law Section, representing three administrations in civil and administrative proceedings regulating tax-exempt organizations and charitable giving. He supervised hundreds of investigations and compliance exams while partnering with local, state, and federal law enforcement. Previously, Chuck served as a senior development executive with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and MetroHealth. He is a trustee of the Northern Ohio Planned Giving Council.

After graduating from the CWRU School of Law, Nicole joined the Personal and Succession Planning practice area of Thompson Hine in Cleveland. After several years working in estate and tax planning, Nicole became a Trust Advisor with National City Bank (now PNC Bank). Throughout her career, Nicole has worked closely with individuals and families to achieve their financial and charitable goals. She is a past Chair of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.

Beth's responsibilities in the Office of Planned Giving include creating illustrations of charitable gift annuities, helping to prepare agreements for donors' charitable gifts, and assisting Development Officers across campus with planned gifts. She also handles the administrative functions of the office. Beth has been at CWRU since 2007, most recently serving as Manager of Institutional Development, assisting with the Capital Campaign. In that role Beth helped manage the University's local, national, and international fundraising program, coordinated logistics for the Capital Campaign Executive Committee meetings, and oversaw administrative functions for the office.
